PSAC hosts webinar on employment equity, cuts and WFA

What do the government cuts mean for employment equity and human rights in the federal public service?  How does the workforce adjustment process fit in?
Join PSAC's interactive webinar to find out more about these important issues.
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
6:00 p.m. in French
8:00 p.m. in English
Questions we'll be discussing:
  • What impact are the cuts to programs that deliver services to marginalized populations (such as First Nations, recent and potential immigrants to Canada, racialized communities, persons with disabilities, the unemployed, seniors) having on equity-seeking groups inside and outside the public service?
  • How could these cuts affect equity representation in the public service?  How will we measure the impact?
  • How does the WFA process address employment equity, duty to accommodate and human rights issues addressed (e.g. during the merit process)?
  • What can the union do? What recourse do employees have?
